 Bringing Back the Natives Garden Tour continues this Sunday, May 2!

This year’s free, virtual Bringing Back the Natives Garden Tour continues this Sunday, May 2! The theme for May 2 is, “Native Plant Garden Design and Plant Selection.”

If you haven’t already, now is the time to register. On Sunday (10:00-3:00) we’ll be visiting eight native plant gardens, and hearing two presentations.

Talks include:

  •    “Practical tips for gardening with California native plants”
  •   “Using Kathy Kramer’s garden as the case study: How to use CalScape to select native plants for your own garden”
  •  “How to design a native plant meadow”
  • “Designing for beauty”
  • “Redesigning a small garden with native plants”
  • “Ground cover manzanitas:  Beautiful, evergreen, low maintenance and water-conserving”
  •  “Cultural uses of California native plants”
  •  “A permaculture approach to California native plants”
  • “Combining natives and edibles”
  • “From weeds to wildlife: getting started with a native plant garden”
