The 2012 Southern Delta Aquarids Meteor Shower is from July 18 – August 18.
The meteor shower will peak on July 28 and 29 when it can produce about 20 meteors per hour. The moon will be in the last quarter and will set around midnight creating the best viewing between midnight and dawn. The radiant point will be in the constellation Aquarius, which is where this meteor shower gets its name. The best viewing will be in the Southern Hemisphere, and the tropical latitudes in the Northern Hemisphere.

Natural History Wanderings 
Believe I just saw a meteor over Aurora, CO, this evening at 0830. Live in the Jewell/Gun Club Rd area. I was looking West towards E-470. Bright light/ball with long tail/smoke racing from my right to my left, then started falling at a great speed towards earth. Any other reports? Please post.

We saw one at approximately midnight Thursday into Friday. While we were sitting on our dock at the lake of the Ozarks. We are all “first timers” and it was beautiful! Waiting anxiously for some more tonight!
