Today I went to the UC-Berkeley Botanical Garden. Although it was overcast when I left the Berkeley flatlands it was bright and sunny at the garden. A nice day to walk the gardens but harsh light for flower photography. I split the day photographing close-ups of flowers in the shade or with a diffuser and birding. A personal highlight was I got to see a Hooded Oriole. A bird I am not sure I have seen before. I walked all over the garden so today’s flower photos come from several different sections. In keeping with the Botanic Garden’s plants of world, labeled where each flower I photographed comes from. The garden also is having its plant sale next weekend
