Utah Fall Color 9/25/15

Rocky Mt. Nature Photographers has the following fall color report for Northern Utah on 9/25/15

– Logan Canyon (Hwy 89) is at peak on the lower stretches of the canyon coming out of Logan heading east. The oaks in particular are brilliant reds, oranges & yellows.

– Higher up, the aspens are mostly past peak to fully fallen, however there are a few good groves still at peak at the top of Tony Grove and above the lake, but the leaves are falling quickly.

– Park City – aspens are pretty much bare & fully fallen above the ski resorts, with just a few just-past-peak groves left.

– Mirror Lake Byway from Evanston to Kamas the aspen is mostly at peak right now to just past in spots, but the leaves are falling fast. Oaks, cottonwoods & beaver pond foliage are all peaking now at lower elevations.

– Alpine Loop, American Fork Canyon to Provo Canyon – aspen are past peak with many bare trees. Decent color in the oaks on the way up to and coming down from the top.
