Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve SNR just posted the current wildflower prediction and status update although it is dated a week ago.
Wildflower Bloom Status- 2/3/13
It’s been a very dry winter again this year, and nothing has even sprouted at this point. It’s still not too late for a good season but it better start raining soon- and a lot!

I agree. I am guessing this is not going to be a good year for the desert. Hopefully, we will get some decent flowers on the coast and in the mountains.
