The LA Times reported that Tejon Ranch has been fined $136,500 (fines and restitution) for illegally killing at least 11 mountain lions. It was reported that the lions were killed because they were killing game hunted by the ranch’s high-paying trophy hunter customers.

I agree, not enough and it certainly will not bring back those beautiful cats. Trophy hunting is causing species not just in our own back yards to vanish but across the globe. Very sad future for our planet’s wildlife.

This is very distressing. To me, the fine seems light.
And all this killing was to support a trophy hunting business; for deer I presume.
